The Upson-Lee Fine Arts Center, which opened in May of 2013, includes a 900-seat auditorium (650 lower plus 250 balcony seats) with a full production stage, fly loft, catwalk, lower level and balcony seating, gallery-style front lobby, green lobby, dressing rooms, and storage. This is a state-of-the-art facility and a point of pride for our school system and our community.
The Upson-Lee Fine Arts Center is a busy place, hosting student and community events. The center calendar is filled with student events, such as band and choral concerts, PTO programs, the Constitution Day program, Knight Idol, Talent Knight, and honors programs. Community events include TUAC-sponsored programs and performances, the Armstrong School of Dance recitals, RUSH Ministries concerts and events, and MORE! During a regular school year, the center will host over 150 student and community events.
The Upson-Lee Fine Arts Center was made possible by SPLOST pennies for education. The Thomaston-Upson School System is grateful to the voters for their support of fine arts within our school system and our local community!
