We will be offering FREE physicals for the 24-25 school year at the middle school on April 24th starting at 4:00 PM. Physical forms will be available for current 6th - 8th grade students on April 15th. Your child will need to bring the physical form, with the front and back of the first page completed and signed, with them to the physical on the 24th in order for the doctors to complete the back page. If you also have a high school student check with the high school for their procedures. This is for middle school students only. More information about pick up time and location will be coming later. The month of March is set aside to recognize the arts in our schools. This month we are celebrating the creative arts and those educators who inspire and engage our students in music, visual arts, media arts, theatre, and film. BIG THANKS for all your hard work! Fine arts performances at the FAC this month include: ULHS Chorus on March 7 at 7 PM and ULHS Symphonic Band on March 12 at 7 PM. Both concerts are free to attend.

ULMS Future Farmers of America (FFA) students showcased their dedication and expertise at the prestigious Georgia National Junior Livestock Show held from February 22 to 24. With unwavering determination and a passion for agriculture, these students represented their school with pride. Through months of rigorous preparation and hands-on experience, they honed their skills in livestock management and showmanship. Amidst intense competition, they demonstrated remarkable poise and professionalism, earning recognition for their exemplary efforts. Their participation not only exemplified their commitment to the agricultural community but also served as a testament to the invaluable lessons learned through FFA programs. As they returned home, they carried with them not only ribbons and accolades but also memories and experiences that will shape their future endeavors in the world of agriculture.

Logan Ellington was named the Champion 10th Grade Showman at the 2024 Georgia National Junior Livestock Show in Perry! There were over eighty 10th graders competing today. Congratulations on this outstanding accomplishment Logan!

This is National School Counseling Week, a week that focuses public attention on the unique contributions of school counselors within U.S. school systems and how students are different because of what school counselors do. National School Counseling Week highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. Join us this week in celebrating our wonderful school counselors at all TU schools and cheer them on as they help to prepare students for the challenges they face today and for the challenges they may face in the future!
