Dear Parents, 

Thank you for enrolling your child in the Thomaston-Upson County Schools’ Pre-Kindergarten Program for the 2023-2024 school year.  As a Georgia resident choosing to have your child participate in this educational initiative funded by the Georgia Lottery for Education, you can be proud that Georgia is leading the nation in providing preschool options for four-year olds.

This program is designed to assist four-year olds and their families in developing a positive and long-lasting relationship with school.  It is very important that you be an active participant in your child’s education.  Research shows that parents, not schools, remain the most important teachers of children.

While attending the Thomaston-Upson County Schools’ Pre-Kindergarten Program, your child will receive a variety of learning experiences.  Children are in classrooms with no more than 20 children.  A teacher and a teaching assistant will assist them in the learning process.  We will also work to help bridge the gap between school and home.
