More Triple Crown Pictures
Can we get two claps and a Rick Flair (Woooooo!) for these rising stars? Upson-Lee has been, is, and always will be a power house of athletic talent. The state of Georgia has taken over the fitness assessment, and is now called FitGA as opposed to the previous company, FitnessGram. Students will now do a pre and post test with this change, giving students two opportunities to reach the Triple Crown. The Triple Crown is obtained by doing over 15 push ups (girls) 20 push ups (boys), over 60 sit ups, and on the 20m pacer test (roughly the length of a basketball court) over 40 for girls and 50 for the boys. These 14 young athletes shined bright and truly embodied what it means to be an Upson-Lee Knight.
Upson-Lee is truly one of the best in the state when it comes to producing not only outstanding athletes, but even better people. Thank you parents for pushing your kids to be the best in everything they do! Go UL 💜🖤

Thanks to everyone who came to Literacy Night!
Congrats to the Concession Stand Creations Winners. Students were to think of the most delicious candy bar that they could imagine, then create a label for their candy bar.
The classrooms with the most students in attendance were Mrs. Waters-3rd, Mr. Whatley-4th, Mr. Flowers-5th.
Help us celebrate these guys for selling the most Dominos Fundraiser Cards. Way to go!! 🍕
Let's get ready to celebrate next week with homecoming days!

All schools have completed their school lockdown drills and will be returning to their regular class schedules. Parents and guardians, please take a moment this evening to talk with your children about the lockdown experience. Ask questions about the process, such as “What do you do first?” and praise your children for listening to the teacher and doing the things that they have been taught to do during a drill. You may want to explain that safety is something that we must practice, just like we practice reading or math. And, the more we practice, the better and more confident we become. We want safety drills to be a confidence-building experience, not a scary experience. Thank you for entrusting us with the education and safety of your children, and thank you to the Upson County Sheriff's Office for their assistance today! #weareUL
School Lockdown DRILL: At 9 AM this morning, all Thomaston-Upson Schools, with the assistance of the Upson County Sheriff’s Office, initiated a school lockdown DRILL. During a lockdown drill, all exterior doors are locked and no entry or exit is allowed. Phones at the school are not answered during a lockdown drill.
